Presales Consultant

The presales Consultant position requires a diverse range of skills as well as an understanding of how to participate in a team oriented environment. This position provides a range of services for corporate users beginning with desktop support all the way to maintaining vendor relationships and application support for customized installations, vendor-supplied as well as in-house developed.

Desired experience

• Install and support new server hardware and software infrastructure
• Install and maintain Vmware ESX, Vmware VDi and Vmware Infrastructure
• Allocate network resources
• Provide technical support to customers with very different levels of IT knowledge
• Ensure the most cost effective and efficient use of servers
• Suggest and provide IT solutions to customers
• Perform troubleshooting.
• Implement and monitor security measures and standards
• Train users (one-to-one or in groups, and provide written guidelines and instructions)
• System maintenance and administration of internal networks and Web Services
• Participate in projects
• Contribute articles to the technical support knowledge base
• Work closely with other teams for problem resolution

 System administrator qualifications

• 3+ years of prior technical support experience
• Strongly developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills (written and oral) In  English and Dutch
• Knowledge and experience with Active Directory and SQL Server
• Knowledge and experience with high-end Microsoft Windows-based Server platforms (Windows 2000/20003/XP) and Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge and experience with VMware ESX
• Team-player with ability to learn complex technical material 
•  3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Windows
